IN THE BLOOD NOT IN THE SHOES

Through all the years, the PBAM, has produced players or persons who have performed great on and off the hard court. They exemplified conduct and sportsmanship worth emulating. Only proper, deserving and befitting to honor these pioneers by featuring active basketball players from anywhere who had and have fathers, uncles, even grands who played in the PBAM Leagues at some point in their lives. These featured players perpetuate the honor and thanks of the PBAM .
JORDAN AQUINO SERJUE ….. started playing in the Pipit Division (13-14) with PAAWIS in the PBAM – PYBCOMS (Phil Youth Basketball Conference of Mtl. and Suburbs). Honed and earned his spurs with Dawson College AAA . Heavily recruited, he played University ball with Dalhousie University in the Atlantic University Sports 2015-2016. Named Rookie of the Year AUS and runner-up Rookie of the year in the Canadian Nationals . Jordan is the nephew of Rick Aquino who played with the Blue Angels in the late 80s and now Chairman of the PBAM Board of Directorrs. Jordan remembers his roots and thanks PAAWIS and the PBAM for his proper development.

BLAKE LIM TUAZON ….. 17 years old and a Junior at Coronado High School of Lubbock, Texas. Played in the JV as a freshman and now plays point and No. 2 with the Coronado Mustangs . Blake’s father is REY TUAZON who played starting point guard at Vanier College in the late 70s and early 80s. Rey was point guard par excellence with the 5 time champion Greengoes of the PBAM. Rey still remembers his glory days with the PBAM and stays in contact.

DIEGO MAGUIGAD HANDINERO …… 13 years old freshman at Loyola High School and plays point in the school’s Bantam team. MVP in the historic GMAA finals game against Shelwyn House . The win ended a 14 year Loyola drought in the GMAA Bantam level. Diego also plays Soccer and Water polo in Lachine. He is the first son of Mike Handinero who played in The PBAM League and coached the MTL TROOPERS , PYBCOMS Lawin Champions 1996-97. Mike is currently coaching the Men’s Basketball team of Marianopolis College . Diego is also the nephew of Cholo and Jod Maguigad of the All City Basketball Club.
