Message from the PBAM President

August 19, 2015

Good morning!

Great communal effort on these initiatives on FUND RAISING for PIBNA 39 ! A big THANK YOU to each of those that have continually volunteered personal valuable personal time to achieve our goals. Thank you to all that donated monies and Yard Sale materials. You know who you are and we know who YOU are and we are forever grateful.

A complete disclosure and Fund Raising Statement will be generated. Complete and transparent accounting on how these funds collected are disbursed or expensed for the PIBNA 39 trip and the PBAM will be clearly identified. The PBAM Management will make the best decisions possible on how it will be BEST spent. Be rest assured that some of these funds will benefit the players and Coaches that have committed themselves in representing us in the upcoming Tournament in Tampa Bay, FL. and to cover meals and any incidental expenses that our chapter may incur. We will hold a meeting before our departure and inform everyone of the details.

PIBNA 39

However- every success story no matter the good intentions are – there are always the “skeptics” and the “glass half empty” thinkers, or the “limited mind-sets”.

Yes- no doubt- many will question our efforts and results in these fund-raising initiatives. I know and knew from the out-set that the biggest question will be…“Where are these monies going and who benefits from it?” or “How do I get a piece of that action?”. Even before it materialized or monies were collected- I know a few have already raised that question even before a finger is lifted to help.

There is no doubt such questions are valid and expected.

Here is my message to all…

How and what determines when one has Achieved Success? Most of us want pretty much the same things in life. Personal happiness, a good job, financial security, the love and support of friends and family, good health and a long life.
To unlock our full potential, to unlock ALL our possibilities- we should focus on the positive impacts of our actions and the actions of others. It is too easy to find faults and mistakes if it is what one is focused on… which many happens to be as they wake up and as they associate themselves with others. Jealousy, fault finding, negative criticisms, GOSSIP, etc., become a natural part of their daily life and a course they fell comfort in. I call these NEGATIVE BLOCKS that prevents or eludes true success. The opposite results. No matter what one tries, success is difficult to achieve. Negative Blocks are characteristics of an individual… an invisible force that holds them back from truly succeeding and finding happiness in life.

I for one- have no time nor have use for anyone that contributes NEGATIVE BLOCKS. I am sure many share these sentiments. It is time we put on the invisible “Positive ONLY” force field around each of us and remain on course and continue our efforts and focus on “doing good” for the community especially for the young upcoming stars that will represent the PBAM and the community in general.

I believe in the following… “When one tries to pull me down, it affirms I am above them”. For this reason- I do not pull anyone down…so they do not get ahead of me.

I urge the PBAM Management team, Coaches, Managers, and the many volunteers… Let us RID of the NEGATIVE BLOCKS and the LIMITED MIND-SETS. Do not let these types of thinking prevent us from achieving what we know we are truly capable of.

What seems easy, is hard for others. Some succeed no matter what the adverse circumstances, while others given all the opportunities in the world still manage to fail. Do not let them infect us with negativity- Believe in the Antibiotic- POSITIVE THINKING!! The difference lies in our mind. It is our mind-set.

Some have limiting mind-sets, based on negative talk (gossip, character assassination, rumor mongering) that was instilled when they were young as they witnessed their elders and has been ingrained over time.

We are often unaware of how ‘automatic’ our thoughts have become and how they consistently hold us back from achieving our best. Do not shame your beloved elders that you learned the wrong lessons of life! Respect them!

The more we allow negative thoughts to undermine our efforts the more those thoughts are reinforced in a self perpetuating negative cycle.

I salute you all!

Cheers to everyone!
